Rachel Zoe has been a style icon of mine since the pilot episode of The Rachel Zoe Project on E! Her boho 70’s style spoke to me on a deeply personal level and I quickly became obsessed with her team, the fast paced glam of the entertainment world, and the drop dead gorgeous dresses she always got to play with. Whenever I’d watch Rachel put together an editorial shoot with a striking and stunning supermodel, the whole exchange left me inspired and wanting to work in the styling world myself. To quote early 2000’s Rachel herself “I die”.
This month I was lucky enough to get exclusive early access to Rachel Zoe’s latest Curateur Spring box. This box of stylish goodies handpicked by Rachel herself, never disappoints and this Spring edit was no exception. Each piece is luxe enough to keep in your closet forever and wear until the Teressa Foglia hat molds to your head and the soft leather Jules Kae crossbody feels like an extension of your everyday routine. I was beyond excited to style these pieces with a recently thrifted outfit (shoppable outfit details linked here) and try out the Hugh and Grace night serum and pop a little bit of that Illa Masqua opalescent highlighter on my cheekbone. The box also had the coolest set of earrings I’ve ever seen from Vita Fede. They’re interchangeable and can be shortened, lengthened, or doubled up. This pair literally goes with any and every outfit. I’ll never need to buy a pair of dangly gold hoops again!
Im torn between picking favorites but the hat, bag and earrings are definitely my top 3. I’m a big fan of hats and Teressa Foglia’s beautifully designed pieces. I’ve been wanting one of her pretty designs for quite some time so I was more than thrilled to add this Lynne hat to my wardrobe. I’m a size M in hats (or 57cm) and it fit extremely well for a new hat. It’s also got an adjustable strap hidden inside if your noggin is smaller than mine so you can adjust it to your preferred size. Over time this hat will mold to fit my head perfectly and age nicely.
PRO TIP: If your wool hat’s brim is flimsy or uneven, take an iron to it and steam it and lay the brim on a flat surface overnight. The brim will be stiffer, have a flatter edge and look brand new. Make sure you keep it in a place that light won’t fade it or leave it on a surface that might ruin its shape or make the brim uneven.
JULES KAE BAG
This bag is made of the softest leather I’ve ever felt. I love the chevron detail in the strap and the gold toned metal details. It can be converted to a more boho style shape and the strap’s length can be easily adjusted through the slightly open notches in the chevron design. It’s the perfect day bag when you’re out having an adventure and need your hands free to sort through vintage racks for something special. I’m already planning on bringing it with me to my next flea market outing.
I could go on and on about how much I love this box and the idea of curated picks from the top stylist in Hollywood. RZ’s picks are always luxe items that feature stunning designs and are available to her stylish fans for under $100. Truly bananas.
